The 2019 Grammy award nominations have been announced, with hip hop artistes, Kendrick Lamar and Drake, leading with eight and seven respectively.

Ariana Grande received two nominations – one for best pop vocal album (Sweetener), and best pop solo performance (God is a Woman).

The 2019 Grammy nominations were announced on Friday morning, December 7, while the Award ceremony is scheduled to hold in February next year at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
